BPP Revamps Captain Colony Club Hall

On 2nd July, 2017, the newly-renovated Captain Colony Recreation Hall was inaugurated with a Jasan ceremony. Formally known as the ‘Meher Jinwalla Hall’ built in the 1950s as a recreation center for residents, the Hall was renovated through a donation of Rupees five and a half lakhs provided by the BPP. The Jasan was attended by BPP Chairman, Yazdi Desai, Anahita Desai, Colony residents and members of the All Parsi Carrom Tournament who host their tournament yearly here. Speaking to Parsi Times, Yazdi said, “I’m glad that Captain Colony Welfare Association took the initiative of renovating their club. Whenever an association takes an initiative, the BPP undoubtedly supports them.” He went on to address the residents who were grateful for the BPP’s continued support. Chairman of Captain Colony Welfare Association, Rayomand Sabavala, concluded, by thanking his colleagues and renovators for their support.
