In a recently released report of ‘2017 Best Indian Brands’ by ‘Interbrand India’, the Tata Group once again topped the chart for the fifth consecutive year. The salt-to-software conglomerate has topped the brand league with its brand valuation at Rs. 73,944 Crores, despite registering a marginal 0.4 decline this year. The table was dominated by certain categories and more than half of the best Indian brands came from the automotive, diversified, financial services, telecom and technology sector. With the list of the top forty witnessing new entrants like Royal Enfield and Ambuja Cements, other companies that managed to make their way up the list include Reliance Industries, Airtel, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), State bank Of India, Infosys, Mahindra, ICICI and Godrej.
Recently, the Tata Group shifted its offices and staff to Fort House on DN Road from its headquarters, the Bombay House since the latter is set to undergo refurbishments. The property built in 1924, is undergoing complete renovation for the first in its history. However, the exteriors of the iconic building will not be disturbed.
