The India Region of World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce (WZCC) organized its 15th Annual General Meeting at West End Hotel on 29th September, 2018, with the main aim to comply with the statutory requirements of the organization. By this yearly meet the prime object of proliferation of Trade, Commerce, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Professionalism is achieved. The event commenced with Capt. Percy Master, President – India Region welcoming the gathering and congratulated Xerxes Dastur one of the Directors of WZCC, India Board for being elected as BPP Trustee. Following a brief mention of the activities carried out by Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore Chapters and also their Women’s Entrepreneur Wing and the Youth Wing, he praised WZCC’s Central Administrative Office, Mumbai which under the leadership of CEO, Aspi Antia has been doing a splendid job of taking WZCC forward. Master of Ceremonies and Chairperson of Women’s Entrepreneur Wing, Behroze Daruwalla declared the AGM open and requested the Hon. Secretary, Farrokh Rustomji conducted the AGM formalities, followed by Regional Director – India Region (International Board), Phili Kharas, informing the gathering that a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) has been formed to help and mentor Zarathushti Candidates to make a Business Plan and aid them in achieving its full potential. This year, versatile actor, comedian and an impressionist known for his work in several Hindi films and Indian Television Shows, Jaaved Jaaferi was invited as the Chief Guest, through the good offices of Mumbai Chapter Vice Chairman, Jamshed Mistry. Jaaved regaled the audience with various anecdotes and spoke about the Parsi connection with the Hindi film industry since its inception, acknowledging his current favourite being, Boman Irani. Immediate past Global President, Minoo Shroff felicitated him with a memento. The event concluded with cocktails and sumptuous dinner along with enthusiastic networking amongst all those present.
