After the passing of the sacred Varasiyaji of Surat’s Shenshai Atashbehram (20th October, 2019), a new Varasiyaji calf was handed over to the Surat Parsi Punchayet for the Atashbehram. The Ijavani ceremony (Yajashne) will be performed on 9th November, 2019 (Mah Khordad, Roj Ashishvangh) for the four-month-old Varasiyaji calf, named Phirozshaw, who had been kept at a farm in Nasik.
