On 19th January, 2020, 105 spirited Godrejites participated in Mumbai’s vibrant Tata Mumbai Marathon – 2020 across 4 race categories – Full, Half, 10 Kms and Dream Run.

Ajit Shinde from Godrej Security Solutions Division finished 1st in the Godrej Group, completing Half Marathon (21 Kms). Prashant Khaware from Godrej Security Solutions Division, who has been running marathons for a decade, shared, “Representing Tata Mumbai Marathon on behalf of Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., gives me a great sense of pride. We often think how we can give back to society. Running a marathon on behalf of Godrej gives us that golden opportunity as we continue the good practice of supporting NGOs via Godrej; this year Godrej supported 3 NGOs and through our interactive sessions we get to knowso much more about their pain and needs. I feel proud to work in an organization which constantly endeavour to serve society.”

Running the marathon on the race day is a thrilling experience – we see a woman run on her crutches, a grandmother/father running at the age of 75, elite athletes running by your side, individuals from every caste/religion running for the unified task of completing the marathon. I appeal to all who are yet to run a Marathon, to participate in such events. Cheers to Team Godrej.
