Here’s To Good Times!
Dear Readers,
As we enter the final quarter of 2023, there’s much to look forward to! October heralds the onset of the festive season, as we gratefully start bidding adieu to the rains. Though the monsoons typically end by the first week of October, global warming has tweaked the seasons, so much so that we even experienced rains in November last year. Oh well!
But coming back to happier thoughts and exciting anticipations about the oncoming festive season… one can hardly wait to bring out those fancy-schmancy attires – designer garments and those amazing Gara-saris to flaunt once again. Or even better, buy those new diva-esque outfits and shoes that you’ve been eyeing for a while now! And of course, there’s the gastronomical extravaganza – the lagan-nu-bhonu and parties and community camaraderie, that tops it all! It’s a good time of the year.
Approaching the year end is also a time for reflection… how about we pre-empt those ‘Shoulda-Woulda-Coulda’ (should-have, would-have, could-have) moments that most of us experience… often riddled in guilt or regret, where we regret the lack of initiative and action to achieve those January resolutions which faded off by February!
We still have a good three months on our side – this could be a good time to revise and renew some of those goals and implement some of those plans, so can still hit some of those year-end targets! These could be related to your health, finances, career, relationships or other aspects – just revive those promises you made, especially to yourself. After all, it’s never too late to work on your goals… and there’s no better time than the present to get started! Here’s to good times!
Have a good weekend!
