ZTFI’s Sanjan Trip – Building Community Bonds

On 12th May, 2024, about 50 excited Parsi / Irani Zoroastrians got together to head to fun trip to Sanjan, organised by one of the community’s leading non-profits dedicated to community service – the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of India (ZTFI). The enthusiasm was infectious and as the group of strangers soon started interacting with each other and teaming up for fun activities set up for them, making new friends and bonding.

The group was greeted with a welcome cold sharbat to beat the heat at the World Zoroastrian Organization (WZO) Sanatorium, and then headed to pay respects at Dasturji Kookadaru’s Dar-e-Meher, followed by a visit to the Sanjan Stambh. Everyone prayed the Tandorosti together, offering sandalwood and lighting diva, with much devotion. A mouth-watering, sumptuous lunch provided by Bachi and Dinshaw Tamboli (Chairman – WZO Trusts) – the dynamic couple heading WZO.

In her speech, ZTFI’s trailblazing Trustee – Yassmin Mistry, shared the initiative of the Trust which has been serving the community dedicatedly for 14 years now. She emphasized on the importance of unity in the community, as she discussed ZTFI’s various programs devoted to community welfare, including outings, the monthly Feed-A-Family Program, annual functions etc. She received much applause as the group cheered for her, Arnavaz Mistry and Team ZTFI.

Not surprisingly, the trip to Sanjan also received rave reviews as participants expressed gratitude for the efforts taken for the smooth organisation as well as for new friendships made – all further boosting camaraderie within the community.
