WZCC Pune Organises Member’s Night

The Pune chapter of the World Zarthusthi Chambers Of Commerce (WZCC) organised an exciting evening celebrating member’s night on 19th July, 2024, which was attended by over 51 members and guests and hosted by youth representative, Behnaz Nanavatti.

Chapter Chair, Tehmasp Bharucha gave a warm welcome to all, sharing his delight at the completion of WZCC Pune’s 20 years, which will be celebrated at a gala mega event in the year-end. He mentioned the growing popularity of the ‘Chai With WZCC Pune’ program amongst the youth, encouraging an increase in new members, which were then duly introduced.

The first speaker, Sindes Jabore – an Expressive Movement Therapist, Perinatal Mental Health Facilitator, Movement Artist and Choreographer – who spoke on the benefits of dance therapy, healing power of movement and its transformative impact on mental health, especially for seniors. The audience enjoyed practical demonstrations. Next speaker, Khuzaan Dalal – a young self-developed entrepreneur and owner of Café Bahar, inspired all with his life-journey and overcoming hardships, to emerge as a successful business owner based on his sincerity and hard work.

Behroze Daruwala, President – WZCC-India, was felicitated for her services, support and guidance, in the presence of Adi Signaporia – senior member and Board of Business Advisory Committee member, Aspi Antia – CEO, Xerxes Dastur – BPP Trustee and Chapter Chair, WZCC-Mumbai and Zarin Khan. She expressed thanks and commended the Pune chapter for its exemplary performance. Adding to the praise was Viraf Deboo, senior member of Pune and International Board member, who also thanked all the dignitaries and urged members for greater participation, especially WZCC’s AGM on 7th September, in Mumbai. He spoke of the financial aid extended to budding entrepreneurs and thanked Global President – Captain Percy Master, Behroze and other Board members for their unstinted support.

Behnaz then held a fun round of mind-teasers with the audience. Farida Deboo shared a vote of thanks, with the speakers, audience and staff, as the eve ended over cocktails and dinner.
