With the Diwali festive season in full swing and with the year in its fourth quarter, the country is all set to shine bright ‘like a diamond’! Zeroing down on the theme for our ‘Diwali Special Makeover’, I met Parinaz Kharas, a fashion blogger with her own idea of fashion and style. Full of personality and passion, she knew what she was talking about, and so, I decided to glam up her the special ‘Diwali’ look.

Considering I had to doll up a fashion blogger, the room for error was very tight. We had to make sure everything was to the point. Gearing for the shoot at Bazyan Mistry’s, ‘Talisman Studios’ in Byculla, we positioned, fashion and Bollywood photographer, Ketan Mehta behind the lens, and the man managed to give us images that left us awe-struck. Obviously with the big guns out, we could not just pull out anything ordinary from our wardrobe! Bollywood designers, ‘Alpa and Reena’ backed us up with a fabulous creation, taking this makeover to a whole new level!

With the support of my hair team from Maharukh Jokhi’s, ‘Make Over Salon’ and my very own Sanaea, I decided to go for a glowing finish on her face and highlighted her face inspired by the diamond glow, choosing a charcoal shadow effect on her eyes to give her look that required depth and intensity. Creating a smoky eye with black and baby pink hues, I finished the eye with lashes and a sparkling steel glitter. Keeping in touch with the intensity of the eyes, Sanaea chose to pick a soft pink shade for her lips, not to make the face look too strong while balancing between glam and uber chic. I wanted something more new age with the hair. With help of Neelam from Make Over Salon, we straightened then back combed and sprayed her hair, to get the mohawk half pony tail.

With the way the team effort had turned out, Parinaz had transformed from a fashion blogger to a fashion statement!
