District Governor 2008-09, Lion Daara Patel with Lion Katy Patel organized ‘Parsi Nite Celebrations’ for the Lions of District 3231 A1, at Cama Baug, on 1st September, 2017. Attended by one hundred and sixty people, the event commenced with a jasan ceremony performed by Er. Aspandiar Dadachanji who delivered a thought provoking address, followed by singer Ruzbeh Patel enthralling the audience. Compered by Lion Viraf Mistry, the event included a quiz on ‘How well do you know your Parsi community’, followed by best male, best female and best couple competition, judged with regards to the Parsi attire. District Governor of 3231 A1, Lion Pradip Parekh, attended the function with several district luminaries. The highlight of the function jointly supported by Lions Club of Byculla, Queensway, South Hill, East Bombay and Forjett Hill, was honouring the ‘Unsung Heroes’ who render their selfless and unconditional love to serve the community through their clubs. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a meal.
