Head of Department Of Management Studies Of Wilson College, Dr. Zuleika Homavazir, was recently conferred ‘The Best Professor in Management’ award by BBC Knowledge and ‘The Women Of The Future Award’ by WOTFA. At the launch of the 10th edition of her HOPE (Help Our People Elevate) initiative, Dr. Zuleika was highly appreciated by the Education Minister, Shri. Vinod Tawde, for her service to education and humanity, on 7th September, 2018.

Further, to commemorate International Literacy Day on 8th September, Dr. Zuleika undertook to create the largest human mosaic with over 3,000 children, to spread mass awareness on the Saakshar Bharat Initiative, Government of India. Flagged off by BJP Spokesperson Shaina NC and Aakash Raj Purohit, educational aids were donated and digital literacy sessions were conducted for street children at Angel Xpress Foundation, Salvation Army and Shastri Nagar BMC School in association with CRY, as a part of the initiative. Dr. Zuleika has also been nominated to receive The Bharat Samman Award, British Parliament, London.

Speaking to Parsi Times, Dr. Zuleika said, “Just hoping or dreaming to win is not enough, you need to pave your way and prepare yourself to ensure the win! Being a graduate, post-graduate, doctorate or holding a good corporate position has no real meaning if you can’t behave like a human to another human being. I emphasise on the younger generation to be associated with social issues so that they can learn to make a difference in their own lives and the many lives around them.”
