The main successfully running Agiary in Kanpur, B N Javeri Dar-e-Meher, conducted the muktad prayers for the sixth year in succession, with the support of Behdin Pasbaans affiliated with the M F Cama Athornan Institute Ex-Students’ Association. In the absence of mobeds, Behdin Pasbans from Mumbai, Navsari and Surat take turns in looking after the sacred Atash Padshah, since 2013.

This year, the ten day Muktad prayers were successfully conducted by Er. Marzban Wadia, who single-handedly performed the Gatha Jasans, sponsored by a different Parsi family of Kanpur, as well as the Jasans on Navroze and Khordad Sal. The New Year celebrations also witnessed, Er. Marzban elucidate certain religious tenets, followed by entertaining the gathering with devotional songs.

The Kanpur Parsi Anjuman expressed gratitude to President of the Davier Parsi Anjuman, Er. Marzban Wadia; Er. Dr. Cyrus Dastoor for training the Behdin Pasbaan, Faredoon Patel, Farrokh Katgara, Meherji Malegamwala, Marzban Wadia, Adil Rangoonwalla, Gev Bhathena, Yezdi Postwala, Jamshed Mistry, Sarosh Billimoria, Sorab Irani, Behram Unwalla and to all donors who helped in the upkeep and functioning of the Kanpur Agiary.
