Sazeman Jawanan Zarthoshty Irani and the Iranian Zoroastrian Anjuman (IZA) celebrated ‘Jashn-E-Mehergan’ on 2nd October, 2018, at NM Petit Fasli Atash Kadeh, with a jasan ceremony, followed by Honorary Administrator Darayus S Zainabadi highlighting the importance of Jashan-e-Meherangan in Persian Language. Managing Trustee, Manaz Zainabadi introduced the Chief Guest and Panthaky of Vatcha Gandhi Agiary, Er. Aspandiar Rustomjee Dadachanji who elucidated on the relevance of Jashn-E-Mehergan, which is victory of good over evil, as the evil Zohak was captured and imprisoned on this day.

In Iran too, Jashn-E-Mehergan is an optional holiday for Zoroastrians and is celebrated in most cities of Iran. President, Khodayar Attaie felicitated Er. Dadachanji who celebrated his birthday on the day, and other dignitaries with floral bouquets. The evening concluded with a vote of thanks to the Trustees of NM Petit Fasli Atash Kadeh and IZA, followed by distribution of dry fruits packets, chasni and chocolates.
