The Ahmedabad Parsi Panchayat (APP), under the leadership of Ex-APP Trustee, Prof Armaity Davar organized the first gambhar of the year, in memory of Prof. Firoz and Sunamai Davar, at Lalkaka Hall, Parsi Sanatorium Grounds, on 6^th January 2019. Attended by four hundred and fifty community members, the event commenced with a jasan, followed by a welcome address by APP Jt. Hon. Secretary, Cyrus Sabavala. Chief Guest and Chair Emeritus of the Education sub-committee of APP, Prof. Armaity Davar, felicitated thirty achievers in the field of education, sports and extracurricular activities, with a certificate and a silver coin. The ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ was bestowed upon Prof. (Dr.) Dinyar Pestonjee by APP President, Brig. (Retd.) Jahangir Anklesaria for his inspiring lifelong achievements in the field of education. Dr. Pestonjee thanked APP for the honor and addressed the younger generation to aim higher in their career. Conveyor of the Education Sub Committee, Marzban Lahewala facilitated the entire ceremony and lauded the achievements of the prize winners.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Jt. General Secretary, F H Davar, followed by a meal catered Mek Caterers.
