On 22^nd June, 2019, Firuza Hoshedar Elavia was felicitated was conferred an Honorary Doctorate for ‘Excellence in the Field of Management’ at the 3rd Global Business Leadership Business Forum, which recognizes top business professionals of the year. With over 20 years of experience in the Financial Services Sector, Firuza works currently as Vice President – Head of pan-India Operations and Policy Servicing, at CANARA HSBC OBC Life Insurance. She was awarded by the Confederation of International Accreditation Commission (CIAC) jointly with their partnering affiliated International University – University of Entrepreneurship and Technology, USA. This award is bestowed on distinguished personalities who have worked diligently in their respective fields with a series of achievements and substantially rich experience as adept professionals.

Graduating as an Arts student majoring in Philosophy, she started her career as a trainee at Mumbai’s Indian Hotels – The Taj Palace and went on to spearheaded multiple projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, customer experience and quality in the organizations she served. Speaking to Parsi Times, Firuza said, “Receiving the honorary doctorate further strengthens my belief, that if you give the world the best you have, the best will come back to you.
