Ek Chai Zindagi Ke Naam!

Chai for Cancer (CFC) is an 8-year-old global non-profit organization, providing cancer patients with life-saving drugs and care, by spreading awareness and fund-raising campaigns. Based on the simple association between cancer and a cup of tea, which is everyman’s drink, CFC deploys informal hangouts or ‘Chai Addas’ where patients, caregivers and supporters of the cause come together and talk to foster a sense of comfort and normalcy.

In keeping with the ongoing lockdown protocols, CFC has transitioned to digital hang-outs, to ensure the continuity of support coming in from all over and to collectively raise their cups towards this noble cause. Meher Marfatia – celebrated Author (Once Upon a City) and columnist, has collaborated with CFC to share her inspiring and unique stories she collected while writing the book. Follow ‘Chai For Cancer’ on social media platforms to enjoy these stories every fortnight, over a cup of piping hot tea!

The pandemic has hit cancer patients harder than most, with an increase in organ-related complications increasing greatly when cancer patients, who have undergone radiation therapy / chemotherapy, contract coronavirus. CFC’s goal is to raise ₹50 Lakhs for cancer patients in need. All funds raised through this campaign go towards covering patients’ diagnostics costs, travel fares and their children’s education fees.
