Musicians of the Symphony Orchestra of India, led by music director Marat Bisengaliev, will perform a programme including Mendelssohn’s Octet, hailed as, “one of the miracles of nineteenth-century music.”
The programme will also feature works by Sir Edward Elgar, whose brilliant music, Bisengaliev is a noted specialist of. The first volume of his album – Elgar: Re-discovered Works For Violin – was nominated for a Grammy Award. The second volume was named by Classic FM as one of the ‘Top 5 Elgar recordings’.
The concert will be held at NCPA’s Jamshed Bhabha’s Theatre on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. Tickets available on www.ncpamumbai.com and at the NCPA Box Office.
