The Young Rathestars, our community’s leading Young Social Welfare Association from Dadar Parsi Colony, held their annual Exhibition Cum Sale on the 26th and 27th of March, 2022. This is a platform given to promote Parsi entrepreneurs. 70 exhibitors across 136 tables displayed a range of products showcasing handmade articles related to the Parsi Culture. Household items, garments, snacks and religious items also gave a proud feeling of the rich heritance of our Parsi Zoroastrian Culture.
Students who excelled in their SSC board exam from Dadar area were also felicitated on the occasion. To make the function even more special, individuals identified as ‘Covid Warriors’ were also felicitated, for having stepped up to the plate in helping citizens in Dadar area through the tough pandemic times over the last year.
Arnavaz Mistry and Yasmin Mistry, the mother-daughter team who are the frontrunners of Young Rathestar, along with its dynamic team, welcomed the Guests of Honour for the function – Xerxes and Kainaz Master. The couple shared a motivational speech and visited the various stalls, encouraging the exhibitors and purchasing products.
“We thank the trustees and members of Sohrab Palamkote Hall and the Athornan Madressa for helping in the smooth functioning of the events and our donors for their continuous support through generous donations,” said Arnavaz Mistry.
With a firm belief in the adage, ‘Happiness to those who help others’, every year, the committee members of ‘Young Rathestars’ of Dadar, Mumbai, reach out to provide help and support to poor Zarthosti families living in the hinterland of Gujarat. Founded in 1942, the NGO – Young Rathestars – has been providing excellent philanthropic service, for over 30 years now, and been instrumental in serving the Parsi community in numerous ways, including its consistent Annual Grain Distribution across remote villages of Gujarat and conducting numerous community events and activities through the year.
