This humorous and audacious diary chronicles a single girl’s courageous journey, battling bullies, body image issues, and unsavoury companions. Published by Om Books International and represented by The Book Bakers, Kainaz fearlessly tackles subjects like body shaming and romantic failures while infusing her memoir with wit and charm. Praised by Farah Khan for its empowerment and entertainment, Sonu Sood hails it as a mind-blowing read! Kainaz’s Parsi spirit shines through, embracing life to the fullest!

Speaking with Parsi Times, Kainaz shares the reason behind penning this bestseller, “It’s a great feeling to feature among India’s top ten inspiring authors. I am very grateful and humbled. The word ‘inspiring’ makes me smile – as that’s exactly what I had set out to do! One of the reasons I wrote this book – which is a memoir – is because I wanted to break stereotypes surrounding beauty. We all say beauty is skin deep, but we get body-shamed, colour-shamed and even culture-shamed in different ways at various points of our lives. We are also indirectly responsible for the same. My book talks about my own journey where I had to battle various bullies who would mock me in school for weight issues, then at our Parsi lagans for still being ‘single’ and ‘getting older and running out of options’.

I also had tons of funny stories to tell of my journo days of various Bollywood stars and my exciting years as a flight attendant, one of the many being when I met Kate Middleton on a flight and asked her to come over to my place for ‘Parsi choi’. From kissing several potential grooms to pole dancing on a ship and fleeing from Roma, my candid and bold memoir has it all. It needed to be written only because I believe if I can do it after all the challenges, anyone can make their dreams come true by just believing in themselves enough to not give up, and of course the power of prayers.”

Kainaz has also authored the bestselling novel – Coffee Days, Champagne Nights and Other Secrets. A university topper from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and an ex-journalist, her storytelling ranges from bold and humorous to dark and edgy. Better known as Kai, her former stint as international cabin crew presented her the opportunity to travel extensively and meet people from different cultures and backgrounds from around the world.

An effective advocate of body positivity and self-acceptance, she has won awards, including the ‘Shiksha Ratna’, ‘Asian Literary Society Award’ and the ‘Fuzia Woman Influencer of the Year’. She hosts a celebrity chat show ‘Break Free’ on her YouTube channel, ‘Chai with Kai’ and is also the founder of the social initiative ‘Be a Friend’ that supports, engages and entertains senior citizens. Kainaz believes (courtesy Katherine Hepburn) that if you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun!
