On 14^th November, 2023, globally renowned, award-winning photographer – Porus Vimadalal, in collaboration with tech-giant Apple, will conduct a vibrant and fun workshop titled, ‘Eat Your Art Out’, as part of the series of ‘Light Up Mumbai’ seminars, which will be held at the Apple store, located at Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The series features a host of workshops by creative artists to align with the Diwali festive season.

The ‘Eat Your Art Out’ workshop is part of the captivating finale, where Porus Vimadalal will talk about his photographic journey, career, along with a live demo on how to capture vibrant and exquisite images of Diwali mithai with the iPhone! Being an interactive session, the audience can participate and get creative to style, shoot, and edit geometric compositions, fully using the iPhone’s power packed features. Attendance is free.

With a diverse background of qualifications comprising Fashion Design, a Commercial Pilot’S License, and having graduated with a double major in Sociology and Psychology, award-winning photographer Porus Vimadalal eventually chose photography as his professional calling. Having completed his photography course from the Vancouver School of Media Arts in 2011, Porus returned to India and embarked on a steady, fulfilling, and prolific career, working with legacy publications including Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and a number of designer labels (including Ashdeen Lilaowala).

He moved to Toronto in 2018, with husband and frequent collaborator, stylist Prayag Menon, in a new setting and industry, earning much recognition. With the pandemic bringing all work across the world to a screeching halt, Vimadalal thought of new ways to express his creativity, documenting everyday inanimate objects at home, which received great worldwide response, though his heart belonged to still-life photography.

2023 saw Vimadalal and Menon relocate to India, re-immersing themselves in the Indian fashion and creative industry, where they have been creating waves with their talent and creativity. Get a glimpse of photographic brilliance at the workshop: ‘Eat Your Heart Out’, on 14^th November, 2023.
