Hoshedar Elavia Appointed National Coordinator By AICC Minority Dept.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) Minority Department has appointed Hoshedar Parvez Elavia as the National Coordinator. Having worked for the party as General Secretary (South Mumbai), Hoshedar Elavia was elevated to his current role as National Coordinator, where he will work with the Indian National Congress Minority Department on various issues related to the minorities in India.

Currently the only Parsi Zoroastrian community member to be appointed at the National level in Congress, Elavia shared with Parsi Times, “I express my gratitude to my party leaders and seniors for reposing their faith in me with this coveted role. I believe that you have to be a part of the system to change the system. I am eager to see the youth of minority communities participating and contributing towards the betterment of the community and the country.”

Hoshedar Elavia is a commerce graduate with an earlier flourishing career in the airline industry, having worked with DNATA-Emirates and KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines as the Head of Cargo Operations. He has also worked with other companies at the management level and is currently focused on social and community service especially for the elderly. “I like helping and spending quality time with people, especially the ‘not so fortunate’ seniors of our community. I work closely with few organisations as part of my social service activities,” he added.
