Freddy Bharucha Becomes Fifth Indian To Join P&G’s Global Leadership

– Appointed First President Of P&G’s Personal Care And Beauty Operations –

Mumbai-born Freddy Bharucha has been appointed as Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) first President of its North America Personal Care and Beauty Operations, making him only the fifth Indian to join the global leadership of the company in recent years. As per a company statement, Freddy Bharucha will also serve on the PCPC (Personal Care Products Council) Board, an American trade association.

Freddy is a veteran P&G leader, with nearly 30 years of experience spanning multiple categories including Beauty, Health, Fabric, and Home Care.This new position was especially created by the American multinational consumer goods corporation for him, based on his proven track record of driving brand, business, and organisational growth, with a focus on tapping into emerging synergies, across the fast-paced North American beauty market, while maintaining the independent operation of distinct categories.

Bharucha has lived and worked across a range of global markets including Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, India-Middle East Africa, Greater China and Latin America. He has held leadership positions spanning multiple categories at P&G, including beauty, health, fabric and home care.

Freddy holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and is an alumnus of the Mumbai University. An experienced leader with a demonstrated history of turning around businesses and brands across multiple categories in the consumer goods industry, Freddy is known as an inspiring, passionate, and innovative leader. His impact extends to the broader P&G enterprise as a leader who champions equality, diversity, and inclusion for all.
