The film which glorified Padma Bhushan Field Marshall Sam Maneckshaw, the pride of our community and of India, was viewed on the silver screen by an auditorium full of awe-struck Zoroastrians of Surat, amidst much cheers, whistles and applause. While Vicky Kaushal perfectly portrayed Sam Bahadur right from the get go, Meghna Gulzar’s research and execution of the story echoed her passion and precision towards her art, covering varied facets of the life of the then PM Indira Gandhi’s favourite soldier – the fearless Field Marshall Sam Maneckshaw.

The legacy of bravery, fairness, boldness and patriotism which was so well balanced in the fine human – Field Marshall Sam Maneckshaw, continues to serve as an inspiration to all to lead a meaningful life, highlighted by his favourite maxim, “I am OK and everything will be OK!”
