The Young Rathestars – our community’s leading Social Welfare Association, from Dadar Parsi Colony – held a successful exhibition-cum-sale, at the Sorab Palamkote Hall on 9th and 10th March, 2024, where over 74 exhibitors exhibited their wares across 141 stalls.
The exhibition was thronged with a large number of community members who came in to buy various items as well as to appreciate the efforts of our small-scale entrepreneurs who offered visitors diverse items including Parsi style garas, food items, showpieces, chawk-na-dabba, frames, sadras, diva stands, torans, accessories, home décor articles, clothes, and more.
Chief Guest Hoshang Jal graced the occasion accompanied by his wife. His speech was received with much applause and especially inspired both – entrepreneurs and students living around the Dadar vicinity who were awarded for their academic achievements. Jt. Hon. Secretaries – Shiraz Guard and Kashmira Khambatta, alongside VP Homiyar Doctor also greatly encouraged the students. A raffle draw was also held.
Yassmin Mistry (Treasurer) and Anahita Dhalla shared highlights about the good work carried out by Young Rathestars, which was founded in 1942 and how it had continued to serve the community for 82 years. President Arnavaz Mistry shared a warm vote of thanks, appreciating the participants and the team. Committee Members Firooza Tachakra, Cyrus Guzdar, Pervin Pastakia, Aspi Elavia and Hufrish Doctor concluded the meet wishing everyone a Happy Jamshedi Navroz.
Every year, the Young Rathestars create this excellent platform for budding entrepreneurs, which helps them showcase their craftsmanship, creativity and innovation, and helps increase their income. The event also facilitates bonding and camaraderie – greatly nurturing our Parsipanu.
