Pune’s Parsis Celebrate International Yoga Day

On 23rd June, 2024, the Pune Zoroastrian Sports Association (PZSA) organized an eventful yoga session for Zoroastrians in Pune, to celebrate International Yoga Day. Held at the Bai Manekbai Jeejeebhoy buildings, the event witnessed 50 enthusiastic participants, conducted by certified yoga teacher – Havovi Kanga, who ensured to provide them an enriching experience that emphasized health and well-being through the ancient practice of yoga.

Participants were divided into seniors and adults, so as to provide customized, age-appropriate yoga techniques, with the elderly engaging in gentle, restorative yoga practices, while the younger group was introduced to more dynamic and vigorous techniques. The attendees expressed their gratitude to the organizers and Havovi Kanga for the well-structured and beneficial session. Havovi Kanga expertise in Yoga, certified by the Ministry of AUSH, combines physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to provide a comprehensive and holistic yoga experience.

Kudos to PZSA’s Managing Committee for organising this beneficial event for the community! It looks to organising more such event that promote health, well-being, and community spirit.
