Sheherazad Kapadia, Jasmine Dotiwala Win Britain’s Asian Women Awards

Doing the worldwide Zoroastrian community proud, Sheherazad Kapadia and Jasmine Dotiwala were conferred with Britain’s prestigious Asian Women Awards (AWA) which recognize and honour Asian women in the UK, who have made significant strides in their careers, personal causes, and communities. While Sheherazad Kapadia won the AWA in the ‘Young Achiever’ category, Jasmine Dotiwala was felicitated in the ‘Media’ category. Both winners highlighted the Zoroastrian community in their acceptance speeches. Shirin Amani Azari was also shortlisted in the Public Service category.

Dynamic young achiever Sheherazad Kapadia is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and community cohesion. She has played a pivotal role in numerous community initiatives, especially in organizing and promoting the 8th World Zoroastrian Youth Congress (8WZYC), showcasing her leadership skills. She has consistently worked towards creating platforms that uplift and connect Zoroastrian youth globally.

Having worked with renowned organizations including MTV, Channel 4, and the BBC, media professional and broadcaster – Jasmine Dotiwala has excelled as a television producer, presenter, and journalist, earning acclaim for her insightful and engaging content, which often highlights underrepresented voices and communities, reflecting her commitment to diversity and inclusion. She is also a passionate advocate for the arts and mentors young aspiring professionals.

WZCC UK Chapter Chair – Shernaz Engineer has been instrumental in championing the cause of these awards. Her dedication to promoting the awards and connecting individuals with the AWA community has significantly elevated the profile of the Zoroastrian community.
