On 26^th May, 2024, the members of XYZ’s Rustom’s Rockstars attended the evening Jashan ceremony held at Soonawalla Agiyari, at Mahim. Next, was an engaging religious lecture by Dr. Er. Parvez Bajan, on: ‘Gambhars – Religious Importance And Significance As Mentioned In Zoroastrian Scriptures’. This was followed by a Machi offered to the Padshah Saheb in Aiwishuthrem Geh, concluding with a Gambhar dinner.

The religious talk helped the children absorb the importance of tradition in Zoroastrianism, which fosters unity and generosity amongst community members. The children also served serving food at the Gambhar, which instilled a sense of service and giving back to the community, as also the cultural and religious significance of these gatherings.

“Participating in these religious ceremonies further fortifies our sense of faith in our religion and strengthens our foundation as a community, as it encourages the children to continue engaging with the community as they become young adults. After all, the community that prays together, stays together,” shared Hoshaang Gotla, Founder of Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ).
