Khordad Sal Mubarak!

Dear Readers,

I thank you all, on behalf of Team PT, for your encouraging feedback on our Parsi New Year Special Issue. It brings us as much joy, as it provides direction for our onward journey and services for the community. We hope the New Year has started on a positive note and will continue to ring in every happiness and success to you and all your loved ones.

Here’s also extending our greeting on the auspicious occasion of Khordad Sal (20th August, 2024 – Roj Khordad, Mah Farvardin), marking the birth anniversary of our glorious Prophet Zarathushtra. Interestingly, this day also represents many other historical milestones, relevant to Zoroastrians. Did you know that it was on this day that Ahura Mazda created the first human couple in the world; or that Shah Gayomard, the first king of ancient Iran, was born; and it was on this day that Asho Zarathushtra received prophethood and religious revelation from Ahura Mazda, based on which we were blessed with our basic yet profound religious fundamentals – Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds. Now what better way to worship and venerate our Prophet, than follow in His wisdom and His guidance that was bestowed on us, as Zoroastrians!

As we march into a brand new, beautiful year, into propitious new beginnings, may the wisdom of our enlightened Prophet be our guide and lead us into justifying our privilege, and delivering on our commitments, as Zarthostis, armed with Asha (righteousness) and gratitude.

Khordad Sal Mubarak!

Have a lovely weekend!

– Anahita
