Over 600 community members attended the funfair at Cusrow Baug’s pavilion grounds on the eve of 10^th November, 2024 from 6.30 pm onwards. There was much excitement with rounds of the Parsi-favourite game of Housie being played, with over 40 prizes given to lucky winners. A jumping castle and fun mascots kept the children entertained.

The Chief Guests for the occasion, Adv. Rahul Narwekar MLA and Speaker of Maharashtra Legiative Assembly, accompanied by his brother and Corporator, Adv. Makarand Narwekar and his wife Rachna Narwekar, received a welcoming standing ovation and a huge round of applause. Other dignitaries present included BPP Chairman Viraf Mehta and his father, former BPP Chairman Dinshaw Mehta, Wadia Trust Secretary, Percy Siganporia, CBUSWL and BPP sitting Trustee – Hoshang Jal, and BJP’s Colaba Minority Parsi Cell President – Diniar Mehta, who organised the event.

In his address, Rahul Narwekar spoke of his ongoing and future plans for the Colaba Constituency and appealed to all to come out in large numbers and cast their votes. He received much applause for his motivating speech. He, along with Makarand and Rachna Narwekar, were then felicitated with floral tributes and a shawl, by Diniar Mehta and former MLA Dinaz Patrawalla. This was followed with a friendly interactive session, with Rahul Narwekar enjoying friendly banter with old friends and acquaintances, known to him since long. The event concluded with refreshments distributed to all.
