15^th December, 2024, saw not just Secunderabad’s Parsi community, but all communities, thoroughly enjoying the Winter Fest, organised by the Zoroastrian Club, at the Parsi Dharamsala (a heritage building), making it a resounding success.

The atmosphere was charged as the funfair offered innumerable fun experiences for all ages, including a live band with carol singing and dancing, three rounds of the ever-popular Housie or Tombola with attractive prizes alongside games of skill, raffle prizes with lucky winners getting LCD TV, Fridge, Microwave, Parsi embroidered Gara saris, etc., and shopping with innumerable stalls offering clothes, jewellery, bath accessories, linen, embroidery, party items, plants, etc. Even Santa Claus (portrayed by Parvez Baria) paid a visit bearing gifts in a rickshaw!

The culinary spread was the highlight of the evening with stalls doling out delicious Parsi delicacies, fudge, tandoori tea, biryani, snacks, roast meats and traditional Xmas goodies like kulkul, rose cookies, guava cheese and plum cakes, et al! A Photo Booth had many queueing up to get fun selfies with Xmas backdrop and accessories. All in all, the Winter Fest exuded much warmth, through an inclusive eve of merriment enjoyed by all communities!
