Lion’s District 3231-A1 Holds 26th Special Olympics

The 26th Special Olympics was held by Lion’s District 3231 A1, on 3rd January, 2025, at PDP Park, Nepean Sea Road, Mumbai, garnering participation from over 1200 specially-abled children from 30 schools, displaying their talents. The event was attended by Chief Guest, District Governor Lion Viraf Mistry; Guests of Honour, 1st Vice District Governor Lion Feroze Katrak and Lion Pawan Kumar Agarwal; Chief Philanthropist – District PRO Lion Percy Master, Lion Hemant Jain – Executive Chairperson, Special Olympics, and other esteemed guests.

All participants received free breakfast and lunch and a certificate of appreciation. Winners were awarded medals in their respective categories. An inspirational march-past was done alongside a live band, in true Olympic tradition with lighting of torch, where school children with impaired vision, intellectual and physical disabilities participated. The sense of joy and pride was palpable on their faces as they took salute.

Lions Club of Byculla donated greatly on the occasion with Lion Percy Master distributing over 1,250 stainless-steel tiffin carriers for students.
