This year’s Masquerade at the Dadar Parsee Colony Gymkhana (DPCG) was truly magical, captivating an impressive crowd of 700+ people of all ages. As guests entered the beautifully manicured lawns, the cool weather set the tone for an unforgettable evening to welcome the New Year. The stage came alive with stunning lighting and masks were distributed to all women, enhancing the enigmatic atmosphere of the masquerade.

From toddlers in strollers to the elderly using walking sticks, the event embraced visitors of every generation. DJ Aarish transformed the evening into a lively celebration with his signature audio-visual set, ensuring everyone was on their feet. His masterfully curated music blended timeless classics with high-energy hits, catering to all ages. His engaging interactions with the crowd added to the excitement and a sense of inclusivity.

The highlight of the event was the exquisite food laid out by Chef Virendra Rawat of Good Food Concept, whose dedication and culinary artistry were evident in every dish. A true culinary maestro, Chef Virendra crafted an array of delectable options that pleased both the palate and the soul – from traditional favourites to modern fusion, each dish was an explosion of flavours and finesse… right from the famous Dilli ki Chaat, South Indian Uttappams, and Bhendi Bazaar Baida Rotis to oriental counters boasting Thai curries and Indonesian noodles, to an expertly served range of mouth-watering appetizers including chilli pepper prawns and grilled sesame paneer. A counter was devoted to Indian mains showcasing different biryanis and curries, complemented by an impressive dessert selection featuring Chikki Kulfi with Mini Jalebis and Rabdi.

It was heart-warming to see even seniors donning masks and dancing the night away. As midnight approached, the dance floor came alive and DJ Aarish led the crowd in an enthusiastic countdown to the New Year. At the stroke of twelve, the night exploded with a mesmerizing display of fireworks lighting up the sky, perfectly synchronized with a special performance by DJ Aarish and Chef Virendra. The atmosphere was electric, filled with cheers and applause that echoed throughout the venue.

The vibrant masquerade was the ideal celebration to usher in 2025, leaving attendees buzzing and eagerly anticipating next year’s festivities. More than just an event, the Masquerade was an experience!
