Navroz Celebrations At JJ Hosp’s Parsi Ward

Jamshedi Navroze was celebrated at Sir J.J. Hospital’s Parsi Ward with much fervour and joy, keeping up with the legacy of the last 38 years. Arnavaz Jal Mistry’s consistent dedication and efforts towards the well-being of the residents in terms of regular supervision, creating a home-like atmosphere and ensuring free provision of services like food, medicine, clothing, and toiletries to those in need, is indeed commendable.

The program commenced with a Jashan and Humbandagi which garnered participation from over 70 individuals. Each year, Arnavaz Mistry and Yassmin Mistry spend time with the residents, along with Dean of JJ Hospital – Dr. Ajay Bhandharwar and his supporting and caring staff, including Parsi Ward’s Head Sister – Sunita. The event was also graced by Parsi personalities – Khojest Mistry and Anahita Desai who commended how Arnavaz’s diligence and compassion have impacted the lives of Parsi Ward residents. Yassmin spoke proudly of her mother’s tireless role in the significant transformation of uplifting the ward, which had the room echoing with applause

Arnavaz Mistyry passionately discussed her engagement with the 45 residents, who she visits twice weekly, and ensures they are provided with required treatments including physiotherapy and psychotherapy. She shared her involvement across different kinds of activities carried out to ensure everyone feels loved and is kept busy with activities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and residents sharing their memories over delicious refreshments.
