The Zoroastrian Trust Funds of India (ZTFI), the community’s leading non-profit organisation which has been uplifting the underprivileged and providing admirable community service to the Parsi community, held its gala Annual Day 2025 and Fun Fair and Exhibition-cum-sale, on 22nd February, 2025, bringing together over 500 attendees across all age groups, for a day filled with joy, camaraderie, shopping and celebration! The event was inaugurated by esteemed Guests of Honour – Mrs. Farida and Mrs. Firuza, whose generous donation set a positive and heartfelt tone for the day.
The exhibition featured 70 enthusiastic exhibitors, showcasing their talent and entrepreneurial spirit in stalls displaying exquisite accessories, clothes, home décor, and also Parsi delicacies like cutlets, dar-ni-pori, etc. The highlight was a special Rangoli Competition, where 84-year-old Bapsi Modi competed with younger participants, boosting the perpetuity of the beautiful Parsi Rangoli tradition. There was much entertainment with dancing, singing, lucky draws and spot prizes.
In a touching gesture adding to the festivity, the community’s much-loved couple – Dinshaw and Bachi Tamboli, who head the WZO Trust Funds, announced a sum of ₹5,000/- for every stall holder and Rangoli participant, as an encouragement to encourage budding Parsi entrepreneurs.
Kudos to ZTFI’s dynamic team and its trailblazing frontrunners – community stalwarts Yassmin Mistry and Arnavaz Mistry, for making a grand success of the event. Speaking to Parsi Times, Yassmin shared, “Hearing people call the event a ‘Parsi Melavanu’ was truly heartwarming.” With activities like Exhibition Cum Sale, Kids Zone, Lucky Draws, and Spot Prizes, ZTFI continues to uphold its ‘Community First’ motto, bringing innovation, joy, and unity to the Parsi Zoroastrian community.
