Prince Charles Tests Positive For Coronavirus

United Kingdom Royalty Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, has tested positive for COVID-19. 71-yearold Charles is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II and has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, making him the longest-serving heir apparent in British history. He is now the highest-profile patient in the realm. Several members of Parliament, sports figures and a prominent British epidemiologist have also been stricken. As per reports, Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus on the 25th of March, 2020, after showing symptoms of COVID-19 disease. The Prince’s office said that the prince had mild symptoms,”but otherwise remains in good health.” As per palace officials, doctors have informed that his condition is not likely to escalate into something more serious. He has since been in self-isolation, in Scotland, with his wife, Camilla – the Duchess of Cornwall – who has tested negative for coronavirus. The tests were carried out by the National Health Service, in Scotland.As per a Buckingham Palace statement, “It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.” Charles last met his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on March 12. She remains at her home in Windsor.
