A number of major Parsi organisations, including the Tata Group, Poonawalla Group of Industries, Godrej Group, and Shapoorji Pallonji Group, will organise a special screening of the film, ‘Sam Bahadur’, which pays tribute to the outstanding journey and legacy of our very own Sam Manekshaw, the first Field Marshal of the Indian Army, and the pride of our nation and our community.

Actor Vicky Kaushal will play Sam Bahadur in this highly anticipated film by Meghna Gulzar, which attempts to capture the essence of Sam Bahadur’s legacy and how it continues to influence many. Based on the life of Sam Manekshaw when he was Chief of the Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, the film’s trailer shows a fierce and fearless Vicky Kaushal holding his own against several high-profile leaders, including then PM – Indira Gandhi. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and also starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Neeraj Kabi, the film’s release is slated for release on 1^st December, 2023.
