IASAP Holds 53rd Annual General Meeting

The Indian Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals (IASAP) concluded its 53rd Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on 30th November, 2024, amidst much insightful discussion and a review of the past year’s achievements. IASAP’s mission is to empower secretaries and administrative professionals through education, networking and advocacy.

After welcoming members and Past Presidents, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of the recently departed Homi Mehta, husband of Late Homai Mehta who was instrumental in establishing the foundations of IASAP, as also other deceased members. Next the previous AGM’s minutes were read, followed by the current Secretary’s Report of Activities.

A notable development of the AGM was the election of a new leadership team, where members unanimously re-elected Vijayalaxmi Amin (Exec. Secretary, Tata Sons) as President, All-India, alongside Binaifer Daruwala (Asst. Manager, Tata Services) continuing her dual role as Vice President and Treasurer; Rashna Ardesher (Exec Asst., Ernst & Young) reaffirmed as Secretary, Kashmira Pastakia (Exec Secretary, HDFC Securities) re-elected to the Governing Council, and Meena Valecha (Asst. Manager to CEO of P.D. Hinduja Hospital) co-opted as new Governing Council member. Outgoing President, Kashmira Gamadia, (Admin Asst. to Chairman, Enpak Distributors) was re-elected Immediate Past President for another term.

The latest IASAP newsletter, The Professional Secretary, was released by Past President, Moti Vazifdar, and President, Vijayalaxmi Amin, alongside a leaflet honouring the memory of Late Homi Mehta. Long term members received awards for their service. President Vijayalaxmi Amin expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her and outlined her vision for the future and commitment to continued learning, professional development, and fostering a supportive community among members. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Binaifer Daruwala followed by refreshments and networking.
