On the occasion of Women’s Day, Educationist and Head of Department of Management Studies at Wilson College, Dr. Zuleika Homavazir was one amongst the twenty-six selected educationists from  all over the country to receive ‘The Young Woman Educator and Scholar Award’, presented (in absentia) by ‘National Foundation of Entrepreneurship Development’, in Coimbatore. The award is a national recognition for women across the nation who have proven themselves in their domains through diligent effort and are presented in accordance to their contribution towards India’s socio-economic progress. “Being the only professor to represent the State of Maharashtra and to win the award from Mumbai, I hope I have been successful to raise our Community flag higher!” said Dr. Zuleika Homavazir.

Earlier, on 26th February, 2017, she even walked the ramp at Shaina NC and Abu Jani’s fashion show, to elevate funds for the Cancer Patients Aids Association at the NSCI Dome, sharing the ramp with Bollywood big wigs including Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sonali Bendre, in the presence of a packed audience of 7,000 invitees! The annual event helps rehabilitate over a million cancer afflicted Indian patients.
