Mumbai-based, upcoming actor, Amyra Dastur has her sights set on entrepreneurship as she plans to start a South Bombay based restaurant serving authentic Parsi cuisine, in partnership with her brother, Jehangir Dastur, who recently graduated from London’s prestigious ‘Le Cordon Bleu’. It seems her love for Parsi home-made food as well as that served during weddings was the reason she chose to set up a restaurant offering Parsi cuisine, especially since she feels that Mumbai lacks restaurants that do justice to authentic Parsi food, served in a fun, family-friendly ambience.
Last seen with the global acting phenomenon, Jackie Chan in ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ and currently working in an untitled Telugu film, Amyra plans to balance out her dual career as an actor and restaurateur with the support of her brother Jehangir, who will handle the menu and all kitchen logistics, while she takes over the funding and marketing aspects of the new venture, which has been a dream project of the siblings ever since childhood.
