Er. Frazan Kotwal Shines At ‘Voices of India’ Competition

In a first of its kind Western Classical National Singing Competition, ‘Voices of India’, Er. Frazan Adil Kotwal secured the second place and was also adjudged the ‘Top Audience Choice’ award, on 29th August, 2018, at the NCPA. Held over a span of three days, Frazan passionately sang Ibert’s Chanson de la Mort, Handel’s, ‘Why Do The Nations’ from the Messiah and Mozart’s Ein Mädchen Oder Weibchen, for the finale, thereby winning over the audience with his theatrical and singing prowess.

After being accepted into prestigious music universities in New York, Vienna and Germany, Frazan chose to study under Ulrike Sonntag at the renowned State Music University in Stuttgart. So far, Frazan has had numerous solo concerts, scholarships, and awards to his credit.
Speaking to Parsi Times, Frazan said, “I was very honoured to take part and win two prizes in this competition because it was truly a challenge competing with people who are on different levels and of varied ages! I feel that my hard work and passion has been recognised. I am happy that through the competition we all came together and friendships were forged. My main aim in this competition was to enjoy, make music and entertain the audience. I guess I succeeded!”

Parsi Times congratulates our young superstar for his sensational achievement and for making our community proud!
