On 1st July, 2023, (Roj – Behram, Mah – Bahman; YZ 1392), the Idavala Agiary at Hamalwadi, celebrated its 180th Salgreh, starting with a Hama Anjuman Macchi in the Havan Geh, performed by the Agiary’s Panthaki – Er. Shahvir Dastur. This was followed by a Jashan performed by four priests, at 10:30 am, led again by the Panthaki saheb. Er. Dr. Farokh Udwadia graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his charming wife Veera. All the Trustees, alongside 60 devotees attended the auspicious occasion.
After the Jashan, Managing Trustee – Godrej Dotivala and Er. Gayomard Panthaki felicitated the Chief Guest and wife with a shawl and flowers. Dr. Udwadia went on to share an engrossing account of Persian history including our descendance as Persians, as also about the wars our Kings waged with Alexandra, who was responsible for destroying a large part of our holy scriptures. The event concluded with snacks being served to all.
