Annual Day Merriment At Lonavala-Khandala Parsi Zarathusti Anjuman

A gala annual function was celebrated by the Lonavala-Khandala Parsi Zarathusti Anjuman (LKPZA), at the Adenwalla Agyari Compound, on 17th February, 2024, attended by over 250 enthusiastic guests. Capt. Percy Master, Trustee – LKPZA, welcomed everyone, thanking them for their continued support and inviting on stage his fellow Trustees – Sam Choksey, Adi Mehta, Adi Banajee, Bapsy Banajee, Arin Master and Rashida Shroff. After commending them for their efforts in hosting this annual event, he expressed gratitude to the donors as also the LKPZA President – Saroosh Dinshaw for the use of the Agyari compound and his continuous guidance.

Sharing the 123-year-old history of the Anjuman, Master informed that it regularly donated towards academic assistance of deserving students, besides donating funds to NAB Lions Home and SAMWAD Shala for differently-abled children, with the aim of uplifting them through education and providing a better life. He acknowledged Er. Zarir Tata’s dedication in maintaining the Agyari, as also his wife – Roshan and his son – Cyrus, and felicitating them with a token of appreciation. Next, donations were made to Iran League, SAMWAD, NAB AND IWA.

All the guests – including all seniors and youngsters – then had a fun time, grooving to the music of Brynhild’s Band, with old and current, Hindi and English songs. Attendees won gift vouchers and lucky number draws. Sumptuous food was provided by Pervez and Benaifer Sidhwa’s Bee’s Kitchen. The evening concluded on a happy note with everyone looking forward to next year’s annual function.
