Panchgani’s Choksi Dar-e-Meher Celebrates 94th Salgreh

An Agiary situated at one of the highest altitudes in India, the Seth Nanabhoy Bejonji Choksi Dar-e-Meher, in Panchgani, celebrated the glorious 94th salgreh of the Atash Padshah, on 20th April, 2024 (Shenshai Roz Adar, Mah Adar).

The day and celebration was a first for the new Panthaki – Er. Arzan Karanjia, who at the young age of 30 years, has taken over the reins of this beautiful Agiary, after having served as a full time and Boiwalla mobed at the Sodawaterwala Agiary in Mumbai, under the guidance of his father, Er. Pervez Karanjia – the Panthaki of the Agiary at Marine Lines.

The Khushali-nu-Jashan was performed by both – Panthaki Er. Arzan Karanjia and his father Er. Pervez Karanjia, in presence of the trustees of the Panchgani Anjuman and the visiting Zarthostis, at around 10:30 am. This was followed by a Machi an hour later. Thereafter, all present happily posed for a group photo for PT and later the trustees gathered in the meeting room at the Agiary for the Samast Anjuman meeting.

Having taken over as the new new Panthaki 1st March, 2024, Er. Arzan Karanjia has started on an auspicious note and is ably assisted by his wife, together serving the Atash Padshah Saheb. We wish young Panthaki Arzan the very best for his new responsibilities in service of the ever-glowing Padshah Saheb of Panchgani.
