– Unveiling A New Era In Preventative Healthcare –

Masina Hospital, Mumbai’s oldest and most trusted charitable medical institutions offering premium facilities, expert care and leading medical consultants, held its annual Dae Mahino Jashan at the newly opened Executive Preventative Health Checkup Centre, on 4^th June, 2024. The ceremony was ably conducted by Er. Parvez Bajan and Er. Darayus Bajan, with Trustees – Homi Katgara and Dr. Gustad Davar in attendance, alongside CEO – Dr. Vispi Jokhi and Jt. CEO – Khushrow Major, Head of the Center for Advanced Philanthropy and Advisor to Masina Hospital Trust – Noshir Dadrawalla, BPP Trustee – Anahita Desai and other Parsi doctors, donors, well-wishers, and hospital staff.

The highlight of the auspicious event was the unveiling of the bust of Founder of Masina Hospital – Dr. Hormusji Masina, by Dr. Davar and Homi Katgara, and garlanded by Dr. Jokhi and Mr. Major. Other dignitaries included and Anahita Desai – Trustee of Bombay Parsee Panchayat.

The Executive Preventative Health Checkup Centre, a blend of modernity and tradition, is the latest in a series of initiatives in preventative healthcare. Dr. Vispi Jokhi highlighted the diagnostic facilities contributing to preventative healthcare and patient outcomes, as under:

Laboratory Services: Departments like Hematology, Biochemistry, Immunoassay, Clinical Pathology, and Microbiology are vital for accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient monitoring; and

Radiology Services: X-rays, Ultrasonography, CT scans, Mammography and DEXA scans – essential for diagnostics and treatment.

The importance of quick turnaround time (TAT) and IT integration in diagnostic services was emphasized, ensuring timely diagnoses and treatments, especially in critical care. These integrations streamline workflow, reduce errors, and enhance hospital efficiency.

Masina Hospital plans to add Histopathology and MRI services in the coming months to align with modern metropolitan hospitals. The newly inaugurated facility will soon be offering Preventive Health Checkup Plans under the following three inaugural packages – Basic Health Package (Includes: Blood Investigations, Chest X-ray, ECG, a Physician Consultation; and Breakfast – at Rs. 3500/-); Comprehensive Health Check-up for Males (Includes: Blood Investigations, Chest X-ray, ECG, 2D ECHO/Stress test, Bone Densitometry, Abdomen and Pelvis Ultrasonography, Lung Spirometry, Dental Checkup, Ophthalmology, Dietician Consultation, Physician Consultation; Breakfast and Lunch – at Rs. 10,400/-) and Comprehensive Health Check-up for Females (Includes: Blood Investigations, Chest X-ray, ECG, 2D ECHO/Stress test, Bone Densitometry, Abdomen and Pelvis Ultrasonography, Mammography, Lung Spirometry, Dental Check-up, Ophthalmology, Dietician Consultation, Physician Consultation; Breakfast and Lunch – at Rs. 12,000/-.)
