An evening showcasing entertainment and talent was organized in Surat at the Pak Kadim Hall, on 10th August, 2024, by the Parsi Pragati Mandal (PPM) and Zoroastrian Women’s Assembly of Surat (ZWAS). The event was conducted by Maharukh Chichgar, Nekshan Khandadia and Aazmin Besania. PPM President Mahtab Bhatporia welcomed the audience for an eve of celebrating Zoroastrian talent with participants as young as one-year old wowing everyone.

Maharukh Chichgar and Tanaz Coachman introduced the judges – event organizer Vidhi Bhatia and choreographer and actor – Sagar Gohil. The winners of the show securing top spots were Jahaan Coachman in Fancy Dress (0-4 years); and in Talent Shows – Rizina Shroff (3 – 5 years); Freya Bharucha and Rhiya Jungalwala (6 – 9 years); Meherzad Shroff (10 – 14 years); and Aanoash Chichgar (14+ years).

The evening also marked the installation of the new PPM team, where newly appointed President – Daizy Patel, in her inaugural speech promised lots of new events for the community. Next was a round of felicitations for youngsters with outstanding achievements – including Liza Abadan, Zarath Bhatporia, Aileen Bhatporia, Dr. Del Bhatporia and Ariana Parabia. PPM also awarded scholarships worth Rs. 1, 75,000/- to deserving, top academic achievers.
