Proud I-Day Parsi Rally In Surat

Parsi patriotism was displayed with much zeal and pomp on the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day celebrations in Surat, showcasing the city’s unity in diversity. As all communities were invited to participate in their traditional attires, the gracious and glamourous Parsis of Surat, under the wings of Surat Parsi Panchayat (SPP) and Zoroastrian Women’s Assembly of Surat (ZWAS), joined in the event dressed in Garas, upholding the pride and dignity of our beloved Tiranga – the Indian flag. The besotted crowd cheered for the splendid Parsi parade!

The event was organized by the Surat Municipal Corporation and was graced by dignitaries including Padmashri Yazdi Karanjia, Commissioner Mrs. Shalini Agrawal, MLAs and politicians. At every juncture, a stage was set for artists to perform traditional dances. Students of different schools rallied in their uniforms, as one and all cheered for the glory of the Tirangaa.
