The Indian Medical Association (IMA) elected senior physician, Dr. Hozie Dara Kapadia, as the National Vice President, Indian Medical Association (IMA) Headquarters at a glittering ceremony at IMA Hyderabad. With a practise spanning over five decades, Mumbai-based Dr. Kapadia was former President of IMA Maharashtra (2018-19) and Mumbai branch (1997-98). He has also served as President of General Practitioners’ Association (GPA), Greater Bombay 2007-2008.

Awarded Honorary Professorship of IMA in 2022, Dr. Kapadia’s advice to budding doctors is to regularly attend CME classes to stay updated, practice ethically and do community service for underprivileged patients. The family boasts of a long line of physicians with his father late Dr. Dara Kapadia being a family physician, his son Dr. Porus Kapadia practising as one and his granddaughter pursuing medicine!
