On 20th March, 2025, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) conferred cricketing legend Diana Edulji with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for her extraordinary contributions to the sport, at an annual awards function held at Mumbai’s Sharad Pawar Indoor Cricket Academy and Recreation Centre. The awards were presented in the presence of C P Radhakrishnan – Governor of Maharashtra, Ashish Shelar – Minister of Information Technology & Cultural Affairs, and Ajinkya Naik – MCA President, along with members of the Apex Council. The event also acknowledged the top performers from the 2022-23 and 2023-24 cricket seasons.
Recognised for playing a pioneering role in establishing and promoting women’s cricket in India, Diana Edulji’s international career spans over 17 years. Her influence has paved the way for future generations of female cricketers.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik expressed pride in the achievements of the award recipients, stating these awards reflected the hard work, dedication and excellence that define the essence of Mumbai cricket. He highlighted the significant contributions of Edulji to both Mumbai and Indian cricket, noting her legendary status.
