The Ava Yazad nu Parab, which fell on 22^nd March, 2025, was celebrated by a large number of devotees at the Thana Patell Agiary, as they gathered at the holy well offering their prayers and seeking blessings. The holy well looked resplendent decorated in floral torans, as the sweet fragrance of flowers filled the air. An hour-long Khushali-nu-Jashan was performed by Er. Kersi Sidhwa and Er. Mehernosh Dastur, at 5:00 pm in the Agiary. The devotees were then led by the priests to the holy well for the Humbandagi prayers after which they were served a rich round of chasni fruits and light refreshmen

Speaking to Parsi Times on the occasion, Er. Mehernosh Dastur spoke about the importance of the day and how a Jashan and offering humbandagi prayers invoked the blessings of Ava Ardvisur Banu, the divinity of flowing water, who blesses us with happiness, good health, wealth and knowledge. He informed that the offerings to these sources of water include flowers, coconut and most importantly Dal-ni-Pori, to please the deity. The Parsis of Thane thus relished another memorable day with the blessings of Ava Yazad!
