In a heartwarming collaboration between Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ) and the World Zoroastrian Organization Trust (WZOT), four members of XYZ Seniors (the youth wing of XYZ Foundation, comprising age group 15-25) – Afreen Irani, Vahishta Mehta, Aazdan Bulsara and Mehernaz Marshall – embarked on a mission in Navsari, to reinforce WZOT’s mission of distributing food grains across villages. Their journey blended humanitarian service with deep, intergenerational connections as they lived in a senior citizens’ home engaging with the splendid silvers.

Starting their purposeful endeavour on 24^th February, 2025, the team travelled to 10-12 villages, providing much-needed aid to the underprivileged. The team meticulously collected Aadhaar details, assessed family sizes, obtained signatures, and distributed essentials. In a remote Gujarat village, an elderly man shared how WZOT’s unwavering support had significantly improved his life, highlighting the profound impact of their ongoing humanitarian efforts.

Day Two saw volunteers spending the evening bonding with senior residents, organizing Housie and Antakshari to uplift spirits. Laughter, shared experiences, and heartfelt conversations created meaningful connections, bridging generations with warmth and joy. On the third and final day, the team resumed its outreach efforts, visiting Sanjan, Bordi and Danu to distribute provisions and completing logistical tasks. By evening, they departed, leaving behind not just aid, but lasting memories, warmth, and kindness, having concluded their mission with deep sense of fulfilment.

 This three-day initiative proved to be an eye-opening experience that underscored the power of community, empathy, and human connect. The collaboration between XYZ and WZOT fostered relationships that transcended age and background.  The XYZ Foundation continues to uphold its commitment to social service, and this collaboration with WZOT stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Zoroastrian philanthropy and community service.
